Release of \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\) version 2.0
Version 2.0 of \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\) -- released in July 2026 -- includes lattice implementations of non-canonical interactions, like scalars with a non-minimal coupling to gravity, \(\phi^2R\), or axion-like particle (ALP) interactions with gauge fields, \(\phi F_{\mu\nu}\tilde F^{\mu\nu}\). It incorporates also methods to set up special field configurations, like cosmic defect networks in scaling (e.g. cosmic strings and domain walls), or arbitrary field power spectra. It also incorporates now non-symplectic evolution algorithms (suitable e.g. for non-minimal scalar kinetic theories of the type \(\mathcal{G}_{ab}(\lbrace\phi_c\rbrace)\partial_\mu\phi^a\partial^\mu\phi^b\)), optimized implementations of GW dynamics on the lattice sourced by scalar and gauge fields, and scalar field dynamics in \(d + 1\) dimensions with \(d = 1, 2\). Furthermore, users can now run \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}~{\tt~v2.0}\) on GPUs, gaining up to a factor \(\sim 10-30\) in rapidity, as compared to CPUs. Read More

Hands-On CosmoLattice Workshop 2026
The Hands-On \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\) Workshop: Simulating the Early Universe was held at the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. The intensive program combined focused lectures with guided hands-on sessions on lattice-based numerical techniques, the structure and use of \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\), and simulations of scalar fields, Abelian gauge fields, and gravitational waves in expanding backgrounds. 3rd CosmoLattice School: Daejeon 2025
The 3rd \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\) School was held at the Institute for Basic Science in Daejeon, South Korea. It offered a pedagogical introduction to lattice field theory and a comprehensive guide to using \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\) for the non-linear dynamics of scalar and gauge fields, gravitational waves, axion-like fields, fluids, and topological defects in cosmological settings. 2nd CosmoLattice School: Online 2023
The 2nd \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\) School was held online. It provided a pedagogical introduction to lattice field theory techniques and their application to interacting fields in an expanding Universe, together with practical introductions to scalar and gauge field simulations, inflation, preheating, gravitational waves, non-minimally coupled scalars, and axion-like fields. Release of version 1.2
Version 1.2 of \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\) is now publicly available. The main new feature is an update of the gravitational wave module, so it can now simulate gravitational waves sourced by U(1) gauge theories. A number of bugs are also fixed. Read More

School material uploaded
The material prepared for the \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\) School 2022, which took place in Valencia in early September, is now available on our website. We have uploaded the presentation slides, as well as Mathematica and Python notebooks to read and plot the code output. Read More

1st CosmoLattice School: Valencia 2022
The 1st \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\) School was held at IFIC in Valencia, Spain, with over 45 participants. The school provided a pedagogical introduction to lattice field theory techniques for interacting fields in expanding backgrounds and introduced participants to \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}~{\tt v1.0}\). Bug fixes for v1.1.2
We released two bug fixes for v1.1 of \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\). Version 1.1.2 corrects a wrong factor of 2 introduced in v1.1.1 in Type I spectra. Version 1.1.1 fixes the output of the occupation number and the multiplicities. Read More

We are glad to announce the release of version 1.1 of \(\mathcal{C}\mathtt{osmo}\mathcal{L}\mathtt{attice}\)! In particular, this version comes with a gravitational wave module. The release also introduces new ways of computing spectra and includes a series of bug corrections. Read More
